Draft 2010 Master Plan for Callan Park
You’ve told us that the 2010 Master Plan for Callan Park must deliver a vision for a Wellness Sanctuary, bridging the gap between acute care and home life for those with mental illness, and contributing to the mental, physical and social health of the entire community. You’ve told us that the Master Plan must maintain open space and access to the foreshore. It must allow for sport as well as quiet reflection. It must sort out the traffic problems and bring back native bushland. It must encourage community organisations to keep delivering crucial services and must build on the arts and cultural platform created by the Sydney College of the Arts and the NSW Writer's Centre. In restored heritage buildings that continue to allow public access, those who participate at Callan Park will share core values about sustainability and community wellness. |
